We absolutely fell in love with Big Bear Escapes “Grizzly Getaway”. As our first family trip to Big Bear, we couldn’t of asked for a better place to stay. Doria was very friendly, immediately responded to our questions right away, and was kind enough to let us check in early. The home was filled with all necessities needed for a cabin trip to Big Bear (towels, pots of all sizes, linens, condiments, and the amazing gift basket). We made good use of the beautiful fire place and jacuzzi. All rules and information were posted on the refrigerator which was very helpful. Thank you Doria for making this an unforgettable trip for my family and I.
We stayed with 6 people for three nights at Grizzy Getaway and it was perfect! Luckily it snowed a few days before- so the neighborhood was like a winter wonderland! Having the spa was awesome & the house was the perfect place for a long weekend vacation. The location was great – 10 minute drive to town [about 8 minutes to a local coffee shop with great breakfast sandwiches] and 8 minutes to snowboarding/skiing… we drove around the neighborhood and found some great places to go sledding as well. Overall I would highly recommend this rental & we will definitely be coming back! Doria the host was great… we had zero issues with the house, checking in, leaving, etc. Will definitely book through Doria again. Thank you for helping us ring in 2015 in Big Bear!
This is a great location and house, and just as advertised. Everything was clean, well set up, and there were plenty of towels and blankets. Towels and blankets for days! Doria was very responsive to all of our questions before our stay and we were greeted by a lovely gift basket upon arrival. The property had a wonderful outdoor space in the front and back which we took advantage of for yoga and some solid games of petanque. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Big Bear!
